plastics bags

i get plastic bags from when i go food shopping or to a deli to get a snack. the bags that i use me and my mom turn them in to garbage bags. when they are full we throw the in the incinerator and use the next ones that we have in the house. i think that it is bad that the plastic bags go in the ocean. most animals could die and get really sick then pollute our water. the thing that people could do to stop plastic from going in the water is to start bringing there own bags.

Excellent post. You summarized the issue well. I'm glad you re-use your shopping bags as trash bags. Do you ever just throw away plastic bags--be honest ;) In those cases, maybe you can start putting food you get from the bodega or whatever in your backpack instead of a bag? What do you think?
